About Be. Local Honey

At Be. Local, we believe honey should be just that, local. Our mission is simple: source pure, raw honey from hardworking beekeepers and deliver it straight to the shelves of the regions it was harvested from.

We’re not just about honey, we’re about the bees, the beekeepers, and the environment they thrive in. By keeping things local, we protect the purity of our honey, support sustainable beekeeping practices, and help maintain healthy bee populations that are essential to life on earth.

No blending. No mass production. Just real honey from your own backyard, possibly even made by bees who visited your garden.

When you choose Be. Local, you're choosing more than honey , you're choosing to support your local community, environment, and the little workers who make it all possible.

The Be Local Values and the section from our website

Our Ethos: Be Pure, Be Ethical, Be Sustainable, Be Local.

Be Pure.

Our honey is;

  • Unpasteurized and not harmfully heated.

  • GMO free and Glyphosate free.

  • Raw, just how the bees like it.

  • Sourced from within your region.

  • Packed in glass with minimal processing.

Be Ethical.

Be. Local Honey Collective produces their own raw honey, and has created an initiative to support small local beekeepers by buying and bringing sustainable honey to market.

Hence the name Local Honey Collective. We want this brand to always represent our core values and we only work with beekeepers who share these values.

Be Sustainable.

Our glass jars have been carefully selected to be easily recycled by removing the label and simply washing out any remaining honey with a little hot water - or you can reuse by heading to one of our local honey centers and simply refilling the original jar. The glass jar is also the best option for storing pure honey, ensuring quality and taste isn’t compromised by the plastic.

Our final value, so important, we made it our entire brand.

Be Local.

Not only is buying local honey aiding in reducing allergies and hay fever- it is essential that communities come together to support each other no matter how big or small, just like a hive.

Knowing the honey is local means you can trust it's real, you can meet the people and see the bees behind the product. We are not secretive about our hives locations. You will see our hives in your community and will see our Be Local logo on the hives themselves.
It is another way to know where your honey comes from and how it is part of the community where you live. Our bees could pollinating the berries in your garden, and stealing the nectar from your weeds.

To ensure you are buying local, we only make our products available in the region it was sourced- and no where else.
